What is Fitness Blender? (Disclaimer: I am not being paid for this article. I am not associated with the Fitness Blender brand and do not know the coaches involved with fitness blender. I am merely a follower of their videos).
Back in 2015, I had purchased Fitness Blender’s 8 Week Fat Loss Program to Lose Weight & Tone Up Fast from Lula.com but never really used it.
Since 2015, I not only gained a lot of weight due to unhealthy eating and lack of exercising, I also had a baby in 2017. My son was born early 2017 via emergency c-section as a result, I became stressed. The stress led to more unhealthy eating. However, after hearing my 5 year old son complaining about me being fat and lazy (he wanted to play soccer, I told him I was too tired), I have decided I had enough. I honestly do not have any reason to be both fat and lazy.
Note here: I know some people will say that I am “fat shaming” myself but I don’t see it that way. The people in my life have been very encouraging and supportive. Everyone have told me that I only gained a little weight and just need to exercise to get rid of it. However, I don’t think their “little weight” explanation is helpful at all. Part of my laziness was me thinking “Well, if they said it is just a little weight, I am sure I can lose it in no time later.” That “later” never came and that “little weight” kept increasing and adding up. So by me calling myself “fat and lazy,” I feel that I am being honest with myself that I need to change my lifestyle both for my health and for my family.
Why Fitness Blender?
I have tried a lot of fitness coaches on Youtube throughout the years and stuck on Fitness Blender due to how their videos are set up. I also love the updated site.
Do You Need to Buy the Fitness Plan?
I have the old fitness plan. There is a new one on their site that can’t be downloaded. Access is through their site. I don’t know what the new fitness plans have and how they are different from the old pdf fitness plans. That being said, the old fitness plan that I brought in 2015 has no new videos on it. All videos within the plan can be accessed on Youtube. If you can put together a fitness plan using their videos that are free on youtube, you do not need to purchase their fitness plan. If you have trouble deciding on which videos to use or trouble making sure you target your entire body (making sure you do a variety of exercise), than this fitness plan is for you.
I will not be posting which videos I have used. Only updates on my weight loss or gain, etc. However, I will point out that daily walking is encouraged which I will do come rain or shine.
What Exercise Equipment Will I be Using?
The fitness plan has optional equipment. They do not promote any equipment at all. Simply says dumbbells are optional, etc. Here are some of the products I have brought over the years and will be using throughout my weight loss journey:
Again, apart from a mat and water bottle, all others are optional. The above list is what I have at home. By no means am I saying or telling anyone that they need to buy the exact same equipment or any equipment at all.
Will I be using or doing anything else?
The answer is no. I will be doing ONLY the Fitness Blender’s 8 Week Fat Loss Program to Lose Weight & Tone Up Fast program. In addition to that, I had purchase the Fitness Blender’s 4 Week Meal Plan and Nutrition Guide and the Fitness Blender Food and Exercise Journal (again, these were purchased in 2015. Fitness Blender has since updated their site and may have provided their userbase with an updated versions).
The Fitness Blender program encourages daily walks which I will be doing. I have also started cutting out junk food. I am not going to follow any special diet.
On Monday, Jan. 15, 2018, I will be uploading a before picture, current weight, and other measurements. Throughout my weight loss journey I’ll keep updated information through blog posts
